#4 The Civil War Suit (Civil War)
At first, this list didn’t include the Civil War suit, because of the subtle differences it had from the AoU suit. It’s true that the changes were slight, but this suit deserves its own place on the list.
Cap’s Civil War suit has the exact same helmet as AoU. The entire color pallet of this suit gets toned down for Civil War. If I had to assume, its the same suit, with minor changes in the plot as well.
You can track Tony and Cap’s relationship in Cap’s suits as well. As their friendship became strained, so did the amount of upgrades Cap received. The suit’s dingier due to use. The center star’s also less reflective.
The white bicep stripes are now gone from the suit, the red “V’s” on either side of the center star are also gone. The Avenger “A’s” are gone from the Civil War suit as well. The white stripes on the stomach area of the suit are larger that the one worn in AoU.
Civil War showed viewers a volatile Avengers team struggling to hold itself together. This suit is the perfect representation of that strain. The shine is gone from the suit and the team.
