Review – Millarworld’s ‘Night Club #4’

Night Club #4 is the latest release from Millarworld. Mark Millar writes the series while Juanan Ramírez provides the art. It tells the story of Danny Garcia (a teenager) who becomes a vampire and uses his abilities to be a superhero and to try and become a viral sensation online.

However, something darker appears to be afoot.

In the previous issue, Danny and his friends are using their vampire powers to be superheroes. They’re also using it for their advantage in their normal life. However, they soon realise why they probably shouldn’t act that much different from how they used to. The last thing they want is someone realising who and what they are.

Night Club #4 is a thrilling ride. Danny is found under the rubble after an explosion. He’s taken to the hospital and of course, that’s not going to go well. Meanwhile, his friends are in the same boat but use their brains to get out of it. As far as action is concerned there isn’t much. The main crux is on developing the characters and their situation.

By the end, you’ll want to know what happens next. It definitely feels like we’re approaching the endgame of this particular volume. Furthermore, the art from Juanan Ramírez brings the world to life. His work continues to impress. I can’t wait to see his work in the next few issues.

Night club #4 hits the shelves on Wednesday 5th April 2023.
