Supergirl first appeared in DC Comic’s Action Comics #252 in May 1959 where Kara Zor-El’s alter-ego is Linda Lee, rather than Kara Danvers. Unfortunately, the character was killed off in DC’s Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Melissa Benoist in the CW show Supergirl.

Supergirl is the second most famous member of the Superfamily. This is mostly because of the CW show starring Melissa Benoist and Laura Vandervoort’s portrayal on the CW show Smallville. The only movie portrayal of the character was in 1984 with Helen Slater. Thankfully, there will be another.

Supergirl movie is in early development at Warner Brothers. The script comes from 22 Jump Street writer Oren Uziel while the search for a Director is yet to start. The project is still in its very early days.
