The first trailer for DC Comics Blue Beetle hit the internet today, coming to you courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures. It’s the third of four DC comics adaptations slated to hit theaters this year. The other two notables are The Flash and Aquaman 2.

The official synopsis clarifies a few question marks about the plot of the movie:
“Recent college grad Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it.
As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab.
When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes a superhero.”
Cobra Kai star Xolo Maridueña plays Jamie Reyes, a Mexican-American teenage superhero. But is the suit here for good, or will it ultimately turn Reyes into a villain?
Blue Beetle stars George Lopez, Susan Sarandon, Harvey Guillén, Adriana Barraza, Damián Alcázar and Bruna Marquezine co-star in the film.
