Rumors: Could Another Popular Character Show Up In ‘Deadpool 2’?
It was inevitable that Deadpool 2 would have to “up-the-ante” from the high bar that the first film set. AS if adding Josh Brolin as Cable and featuring the X-Force wasn’t enough, it appears that Deadpool 2 could feature another popular X-Men character. If the rumors and these keep eyes are to be believed, then fans will get to see the second live-action version of Charles Xavier’s half-brother on the big screen this month. That is right! The newest DP2 rumors suggest that the Juggernaut will appear in DP2.
Let’s count up all of the mutants confirmed for the film already. First, we have Brolin as Cable, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Terry Crews as Bedlam, Bill Skarsgard as Zeitgeist, Lewis Tan as Shatterstar, and Rob Delaney as Peter. That is a cast full of mutants, but does the film have room for one more?
Keen eyes have found a few clues in the trailers that hint that the Juggernaut will be in the film. Check out the trailer screen caps below for evidence:
The second bit of evidence for Juggy’s inclusion in the film comes courtesy of the official soundtrack for Deadpool 2. The track list doesn’t mention Juggernaut by name, rather one particular track is called “You Can’t Stop This Mother F*****”. This isn’t enough evidence by itself, it could just be a witty nod to the character. The lyrics are what lend the best credibility to this rumor. Check out the choir’s words from the track below:
“You can’t stop him. He’s the Juggernaut. You can’t stop this mother ******.”
This could all be a nod, but it is also in the realm of possibility that Juggernaut will show up in Deadpool 2 surprising a lot of X-Men fans worldwide.
Who will play Juggernaut, or will DP2 bring Vinnie Jones back to reprise his role as the character from X-Men: The Last Stand? It could also just be a big ruse for fans. It is safe to assume that Juggernaut will appear in DP2 at some point. Hopefully, his role will be a significant one that will redeem the previous incarnation of the characters from X3.
Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18.
