Scope of ‘Infinity War’ and Possibility of 3 End-Credits Scenes

With Captain America: Civil War a little over a month away, Anthony Russo took a minute to talk about where they are with Avengers: Infinity War Pt. 1, and he went on to add that the film could end with 3 end credit scenes. This would be a bit of a departure for Marvel, from their usual one or two end credit scenes.

Speaking with Forbes about where they are with Infinity War, Russo says that Civil War could end up having three end credit stingers, rather than the two that Marvel is known for. But what direction will they go with the scenes, and who will be featured in them? According to Russo:

“We can’t say who is going to be in it, but we can say that there certainly could be one, or two, maybe three. We can confirm that you should stay sat in your seats when the movie is done.” Could it be teases for ‘Doctor Strange,’ ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Infinity War’?

Russo goes on to talk about the ambition of Infinity War, and what we can expect from the film:

“We don’t even have the first draft in on that script yet; we’re still in the outline phase. It’s hard not to talk about it too specifically now only because of spoilers but also because we’re still figuring it out… [There are] new characters that are going to appear in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. It’s a big sprawling ambitious movie, it’s about as ambitious as movies get and it should be, and the title alone indicates that there will be an incredible scape and scope to it. It is intended to be the entire culmination of the Marvel cinematic universe and, in many ways, the end to that part of it.”

Captain America: Civil War will be in theaters on May 6th.
