Creepshow
Creepshow is an anthology-series based on the 1982 movie of the same name. It comes from Greg Nicotero, an executive producer on The Walking Dead. In fact, he directed the newest episode of The Walking Dead. He also writes and directs some of the Creepshow episodes.
The official synopsis for Creepshow from Shudder:
CREEPSHOW, the new anthology series based on the 1982 horror comedy classic, is still the most fun you’ll ever have being scared! A comic book comes to life in a series of twelve vignettes over six episodes, exploring terrors from murder to the supernatural and unexplainable.
Haunted dollhouses, werewolves, murderous goblins, villainous trick-or-treaters, the dead, and medical marvels are just a few of the things to watch out for in this new series. You never know what will be on the next page…
Since it’s an anthology, Creepshow features some big actors in one episode roles. These include Gincarlo Esposito, Tobin Bell, David Arquette and Keith David. There are even some The Walking Dead alums popping up such as Caily Fleming (Judith Grimes) and Josh McDermitt (Eugene Porter).
The good thing about Creepshow is that you can watch any episode you want. You don’t need to watch episode one to know what happens in the next. It’s a breath of fresh air in a world that’s dominated by binge-watching series.
If you want a series that’s scary but also fun then Creepshow is the one to watch.
