Suicide Squad can now call themselves an Oscar-winning film. The film nabbed the Oscar for best makeup last night, proving that even a bad film can be honored for something. Alessandro Bertolazzi, Giorgio Gregorini, and Christopher Nelson were the minds behind the makeup design of the film, and the work that these guys did is nothing short of epic.
Get ready for the film to use mention this honor overtime that it is advertised. It still doesn’t take away from Jared Leto’s horrific performance as the Joker, but it seems as though the people of the Academy liked Ghetto Clown Prince more than most people. Squad went on to rake in the dough at the box office, despite what you could call ‘mixed’ reviews.
