By now you should know that Assassin’s Creed, the smash hit video game from Ubisoft, will soon be a feature film starring Michael Fassbender and directed by Justin Kurzel. The game and the film look to follow the same base storyline of, a man in the future being plugged into a machine called the animus. The machine allows a person to see, and live, the life of one of their ancient ancestors, trying to tap into the skills that the ancestor knew as a secret assassin.
Fassbender has already stated that Assassin’s Creed will take place in the past during the Spanish Inquisition, and the present. From the trailers, we can see that the film has captures the look of the games, and this is only a good thing. In a new clip released at E3 in Los Angeles, 20th century Fox and Ubisoft showed off a deleted scene from the film, some behind-the-scenes stuff, and a few interviews. Before we get to the clip, feel free to check out the first trailer below, first:
The clip is great and features a unique look at the film. This is the best footage you are going to get before the release of the second trailer, which will hopefully happen soon. I, personally, cannot wait to watch Michael Fassbender kick some Templar ass. Check out the deleted scene below:
Get your hidden assassin blades and cloaks ready, Assassin’s Creed hits theaters on December 21.
