And the 2017 Emmy Award Winners Are…

2017 Emmy Awards

The 2017 Emmy Awards happened at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles over the weekend. Hosted by Stephen Colbert, the ceremony had a hint of life this year. A lot of that has to do with Colbert’s performance, which was full of great moments. His opening musical number was classic, and referenced everything from Westworld to Stranger Things.

The big winners of the night were HBO’s Big Little Lies and Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, both winning five awards. This is the first time that a streaming service took top honors at the Emmy’s.
