3 New TV Spots Drop for Ridley Scott’s Terrifying Space Horror ‘Alien: Covenant’

Three new television spots hit the internet over the weekend for the upcoming Ridley Scott film Alien: Covenant. The clips premiered during the broadcast of last night’s The Walking Dead finale on AMC. Each clip shed’s light on what the crew is in store for when they reach the new planet. The clips are titled ‘Run’, ‘Pray’, and ‘Hide’, and they each give a glimpse at just how terrifying the new film will be.

Check out the clips below:

Scott recently said that the plan is to make three more films for the  franchise, or was it six? His quote was a bit misleading. In an interview with IGNCovenant star Katherine Waterson talked about how scary the film will be:

“It’s legitimately freaky a lot of the stuff that’s in this film, I’ve had these amazing moments when I’ve walked past my trailer and seen my friend’s head on a stick. So there have been times when I’ve thought it was the actor in front of me when it was a bean bag body with a perfect face. That’s actually one of the most chilling things to witness – is your friends all…damaged.”

Has Ridley Scott finally returned to prime horror form in Alien: Covenant? It appears that this might be the film that brings him back. Covenant looks to wipe away the missed-step that the franchise took in Prometheus.

The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby.
