The Strangers is a terrifying psychological horror that leaves the audience in a state of fear. Directed by Bryan Bertino and starring Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman, The Strangers is anxiety-inducing.
The basis of the story comes from real murders from the Manson Family Tate murders, the Keddie Cabin murders and break-ins near the Director’s family home.

I remember watching this movie a couple of years back and hating it. On my second watch, I was on the edge of the seat and absolutely adored it. I couldn’t remember anything that happened, which makes me wonder if I hadn’t actually seen it.
The main scare of The Strangers comes from the uncertainty of where the intruders come from. There’s a long build-up from the beginning and from the word go, there’s a mystery. However, that mystery is why the protagonists are mad at each other.

The revelation comes quickly before a girl approaches their door. From there, a sinister game of cat and mouse happens. The soundtrack aids in the creepiness and makes the viewer worried about how easily this could happen in reality.
The Strangers is a haunting movie that will scar the viewer forever.
