Triangle is a 2009 psychological horror that is less horror and more thriller. There are no scares and the only trope that closes in on the horror genre is the villain around the boat.
Although, the reveal of their identity leaves that up to debate. Triangle uses a time-loop that doesn’t break and leaves the viewer exhausted by its end.
Unfortunately, that is also its downfall. It’s difficult to keep with the story and its ending is frustrating. While that is a personal preference, for me I would have liked to have seen a more concrete ending.
The acting isn’t at fault though. Melissa George excels in the lead role, conveying a smorgasbord of emotions. Ultimately she carries the movie. That’s not to say Triangle is a bad movie.
It’s not. It’s one that comes down to personal preference due to its complicated plot and constant time-loop.
Triangle will leave you asking more questions than it’ll answer but it’s not the worse way to spend your time.
