Newest Batch of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Spoilers Could Ruin Plot

Marvel is no stranger to rumors, but the studio does its best to keep most of the plot points from their films out of the mainstream media. Spoilers have the potential to, well, completely spoil a number of things about any film that you may have not seen yet. In this case, the world hasn’t glimpsed even the beginning credits to Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but the newest batch of rumors may give away most of the movie.

Seriously, there are potential spoilers ahead, so preceded only if these don’t affect your movie experience.

According to a new article from Screen Geek, they have a whole new batch of rumors about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and some of them are big plot bombshells. Not only do they pretty much give away details about characters James Gunn will not let us see (Ego the Living Planet), but they also hint at a bigger plot twist in the film.

As always, take each one of these with a huge grain of salt:

Ego is made out to be the main villain at first, but it is actually Ayesha, although Ego is also an antagonist. Taserface serves as a secondary foe.

Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone are playing members of the Ancients, a race of immortal aliens that hire the Guardians of the Galaxy to stop Ego, as part of a bigger plan masterminded by Ayesha.

Yondu and Nebula are joining the team along side of Mantis, who is Star-Lord’s half-sister and a prisoner of Ego.

The Nova Corps will make an appearance and the Kree will also have a larger role.

Groot will remain child-sized for a large part of the movie.

There’s a minor romantic subplot between Star-Lord and Gamora after the seeds planted in the first movie.

Thanos won’t appear in the movie, but will be referenced.

There’ll be no infinity stones, although they are referenced.

The movie ending leads directly to “Avengers: Infinity War”.

There are plans for a sequel, but James Gunn still isn’t officially attached to write and direct, although Marvel wants him to direct.

So, what does this mean for the film? Pretty much nothing. This is only a big batch of rumors, but some of these details could serve to ruin the big twist of the film. Honestly, even as I am writing this article, it bugs me that I might know the big twist in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

I just have to keep telling myself that none of these are actually true. You should do the same. Until next time.
