‘Baywatch’ Super Bowl TV Spot Trailer

In the wake of a very revealing image, and one hell of a swanky video tease, Paramount Pictures hits us with the first official trailer for the upcoming film starring Zack Effron and The Rock, Baywatch. It adapts the popular 1990s television series Baywatch, starring David Hasselhoff.

The trailer shows us that the film will take a satirical approach to the 1990s television show, which took itself entirely too serious. This time around, the California lifeguards are the ones being put in their place.  The trailer even mentions the biggest plot hole of the entire franchise: They were lifeguards, not the police.

This new take on the franchise will be a lot more relaxed, and looks to be set in the same vein as 21 Jump Street. Baywatch stars Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddarrio, Priyanka Chopra, Kelly Rohrbach, Jon Bass, Hannibal Buress, and Rob Huebel.

Damian Shannon and Mark Swift wrote the script, and the film is directed by Seth Gordon.

Baywatch will be R-rated, and is shooting for a May 26th theatrical release. Check out the trailer below:
