Comedy Central dropped a bombshell today. With a twenty-year episode hiatus on MTV, Mike Judge’s famous adult-animates television series Beavis and Butt-Head comes to Comedy Central.

Comedy Central gave the series an initial two-season order, so fans of the series can rest assured for at least two more seasons of Beavis and Butt-Head. Judge recently signed a massive deal with Comedy Central to include additional spin-offs and specials.

Judge brings old Beaver and Butt-Weezer to a new generation of unsuspecting adolescents. According to the announcement, the series “features meta-themes that will be relatable to both new and old fans – Gen X parents and their Gen Z kids”.

The original series ran for a total of seven seasons, spanning from 1993 to 1997 on MTV. Beavis and Butt-Head were the voice of a generation trying to find a way to relate to the political and social landscapes of the late 1990s.

It was as if Generation X‘s inner child and pervert hung out on the couch in the living room. The characters could say and do all the things that most kids could only imagine.

Comedy Central also recently ordered a season of the Daria spin-off Jodie.
