Timothee Chalamet is one of the freshest new actors in Hollywood. His last two films, Call Me By Your Name and Lady Bird, hit big with critics and audiences.

In a recent appearance at the Fall film festival circuit, he touched on his upcoming projects, including David Michod’s The King (as King Henry V), and the Denis Villeneuve-helmed 2-film Dune reboot. Chalamet will star as Paul Atreides in the reboot.

Villeneuve is the perfect director for the film. His recent film Blade Runner 2049 completely capturing the essence of the original Blade Runner film. He is a director who focuses on detail and has a penchant for capturing beautiful camera shots.

The film will reboot the famous Frank Herbert classic, and will also star Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica. The acting duo of Ferguson and Chalamet is creating a buzz in Hollywood.

Chalamet says that the fame of Herbert’s story is not what attracted him to the project, but rather it was Villeneuve:

“Denis is one of my favorite filmmakers. I want to work with any and all, and that’s not a hyperbolic use of those words, ‘great filmmakers.’ But, what’s especially inspiring about Denis films are the size of them. They reach a big audience.

These are films meant to play in front of big crowds.

And, conversely, he’s also made movies like ‘Incendies’ that are like intimate affairs. So, that would be a dream come true and is going to be a dream come true. And, I’m chomping at the bits for that experience. I can’t wait.”
