It’s a safe bet that Marvel wasn’t going to give fans much more in the theatrical re-release for Avengers: Endgame.
It is nice to see the film show up for an encore run in cinemas.
The sole purpose for the re-release is so that Avengers: Endgame claims the all-time box office record. But who really cares. The film is great, and I am definitely getting back into theaters to catch it one last time.
Marvel Chief Kevin Feige confirmed last week that Marvel will bring Endgame back to theaters to topple Avatar’s $2.788 billion box office record.
Now, in the wake of the announcement, Marvel drops what’s added into the re-release of the film, which is officially being called the ‘Bring Back’ event.

As far as the film itself, the screening includes an introduction from director Anthony Russo, an ‘unfinished scene’, and a special sneak peek of Spider-Man: Far From Home before it opens next week.
It may not be as much as most fans were hoping to get, but Marvel does need to save things for the Blu-ray release. I don’t understand why they would include an unfinished scene, but it may just be lacking polish.
The added scene could also be the mysterious engine seen in a Twitter post from the directors a few years ago. That might be enough to satisfy fans. It would be a shame if Endgame still missed passing Avatar after the re-release.
