The first trailer for David F. Sandberg’s Shazam is here, and it really is good. The past couple of month saw the super suit get a ton of criticism, but it fits so beautifully into the look of the film, that I think it is the perfect design. Check out the first official trailer below:
Billy Batson is just your average foster child, streetwise and cunning. His life is changed dramatically when he is chosen by a mystical wizard to harness a mysterious power. In a flash, 14-year-old Batson turns into a full-sized superhero Shazam (Zachary Levi). So what superpowers does Batson harness? The hyjinks and insanity kick off when Shazam takes to the skies, or does he?
The amazing concept of Shazam, is that you have a superhero with the mind and rationality of a child. This is what made the comics amazing, and will surely make the film great as well. The big villain of the film is Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong).
The film stars Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman and Ian Chen, and hits theaters next April.
