Peter Capaldi Joins James Gunn’s ‘Suicide Squad’
Peter Capaldi is swapping the TARDIS for a role in another major Pop Culture world. According to Deadline, Peter Capaldi is joining James Gunn’s Suicide Squad.
His role in the movie is under wraps, but there are hints to what it is. Recently at a convention, Peter confirmed he is going completely bald for his next role and that there are prosthetics with it.
Fan speculation suggests he is playing Mister Freeze or the telepath Psimon. The latter makes more sense considering the prosthetics and it’s a role he will definitely excel in.
The same article suggests Pete Davison, of SNL fame, will have a cameo in the movie. However, what his role will be is also a mystery. There are those who believe it might be a cameo as himself on an SNL sketch a character is watching.
The cast returning from the David Ayer movie are Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman.
Meanwhile, Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior, Flula Borg, Steve Agee, Nathan Fillion, and Taika Waititi are set to join the cast.
Out of those newly cast, we only have confirmation of who three of those characters are.
David Dasmalchian is the Polka-Dot Man, Steve Agee provides the voice for King Shark and Daniela Melchior is Ratcatcher.
James Gunn’s Suicide Squad is shaping up to be one to watch out for. Its readthrough takes place September 11, where hopefully more information will be released.
