Today, the news they shared was something special! After months of wondering, the title for the next Star Wars movie is finally here!

Coming in December 2019 is the last in the Star Wars Skywalker Saga:

There isn’t much to digest from the title. If anything, it brings up more questions. Who is the Skywalker? Luke? Anakin? Rey?

Or is it the Rise of Skywalker in the sense of legacy? All we know is that the hype is even more real now.

Not only was the title released, but a trailer is also now online showcasing what to expect from the movie.

Take a look at the trailer below:

The trailer showcases a new look at Lando in action. It also starts with Rey facing off against a Tie Fighter. Could Kylo Ren be inside?

There is a lot to unpack from such a small tease but it looks as if an old enemy from the original trilogy is up to something.

Could we see the return of not only the original Death Star but also Emperor Palpatine?

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will finish the Skywalker saga while also wrapping up the story of the new heroes and villains. Carrie Fisher‘s legacy will continue through deleted footage from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Newcomers to the cast include Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Dominic Monaghan, and Matt Smith.

Mark Hamill will reprise his role as Luke Skywalker, although it’s unclear in what capacity after his death at the end of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Joining Hamill and Fisher for one final hurrah is the original Lando Calrissian, Billy Dee Williams.

EDITORIAL:

The teaser trailer is great but leaves viewers with a number of questions. Is that the remains of one of the previous Death Stars? Will Luke Skywalker come back to life? Why can you hear the Emperor laugh at the end of the trailer?

These are just a few of the questions I have. Lando is back, along with a few other items that reference the original trilogy. J.J. Abrams has his hand full trying to wrap up the new trilogy in the wake of The Last Jedi.
