Grab Your Nuka Cola, Fallout 4 is Making the Transition to Tabletop

Fallout 4, Bethesda Studios

One of the most popular video games of the past few years is becoming a tabletop role-playing game: Fallout 4: Wasteland Warfare. Fallout 4 is a Bethesda Studios video game that is based in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It takes place in the year 2287, where technology is both more advanced by the passage of time and society is regressed by the apocalypse.

The idea of transitioning to a tabletop game is pretty easy to grasp, because the original game is open world and able to be fully explored by the player. You can craft your own weapons, scavenge for your own goods, and interact with NPC’s (non-player characters); sounds pretty much exactly like a pen and paper RPG to me. There are no details yet on the rule set that the game will operate under, so far they have only released an image of the upcoming original miniatures.

Anyone who loves tabletop RPGs or war games should be excited about this announcement. It is a whole new world for you to explore in a whole new way. The Fallout world has been around for a long time now and there are plenty of story points to mine for side-quests or campaign adventures.

It will come will pre-built solo missions, co-op missions, and player vs player story settings. The game will be published by the tabletop company, Modiphius Entertainment. Modiphius funds several of their games through Kickstarter, but there has been no official announcement of any Fallout Kickstarter just yet. You want to be one of the first to get your hands on this one. Between fans of Fallout and fans of tabletop games, everyone can get excited about this release. The minis already look great and are enough to get excited about.

Will you get your very own dog companion mini, and will he be everything he is in the game? There’s no dog mini as of yet, so we’ll have to wait and see on that one.
