Call of Duty: WWII, Activision and Sledgehammer Games

The first trailer for Activision and Sledgehammer Games’ epic Call of Duty game series is here, and it brings the franchise back to its roots, WWII. The game was announced last week, but this is the first look at any footage from the game. The visuals are stunning, as is the setting of the game. Check out the first trailer for Call of Duty: WWII below:

The game looks gritty, and the narrative seems to be a more personal tale about a soldier’s journey through the final year of WWII with the 1st Infantry Division. The game will take you to the fight across the European Theater, placing you in iconic battles from the war.

This game will have a bit of a personal touch and connection to one of the games creators. The lead character is Ronald “Red” Daniels is named for the father of Glen Schofield, co-founder of the game’s developer, Sledgehammer Games. Unfortunately, Schofield’s father passed away during the games production. Daniel will be an Army private who joins the 1st Infantry Division.

Call of Duty: WWII stars voice talent from Josh Duhamel, Jonathan Tucker and Jeffery Pierce. There is little known about the game right now, but more details are sure emerge at E3. All preorders come with access to the early beta test. The game will drop in 3 different editions.
