‘Harley Quinn’ Renewed For a Third Season at HBO Max

Harley Quinn is one of DC’s most successful character. Ever since she was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm by Batman the Animated Series, she’s become a fan-favorite. From 1992 Arleen Sorkin, Tara Strong and Margot Robbie are synonymous with her portrayals.

However, there is another actress who is becoming popular for voicing Harley. Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory fame is the lead in the HBO Max series Harley Quinn. Unlike other DC animated projects, Harley Quinn is mostly for adults.

Ever since the end of season 2 in June, fans have wondered if there’d be more. Thankfully, everyone can rest. HBO Max has confirmed Harley Quinn is returning for a third season! That’s right, Harley and her group of misfit villains are coming back.

It’s also confirmed we’ll be seeing more of Kite Man and Doctor Psycho. This is interesting as both characters have ending that could have stopped them from returning in season 2.

Spoilers are coming so beware. At the end of season 2, Kite Man was ready to marry Poison Ivy. Unfortunately for him, Ivy realises she’s in love with Harley and he ends up alone.

Meanwhile, Doctor Psycho turns against his ‘friends’ and with the help of Riddler, tries to take over the world with the help of Darkseid.

Hopefully, Kite Man will find the love of his life after developing into a better person since his introduction. Doctor Psycho appears to be taking on a Silence of the Lambs type role in season 3. This comes from an interview Showrunner Patrick Schumacher did with comicbook.com.

Sadly, it looks like Harley Quinn season 3 won’t air until late 2021 at the earliest. But one thing we do know is that Harley and Poison Ivy’s relationship will be rock solid. It’s about time Harley and Ivy’s relationship is shown outside of the comics.

Harley Quinn seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on HBO Max.
