Elseworlds, the DC crossover, will air in December and sees the debut of Ruby Rose as Batwoman. The crossover will also see the return of Tyler Hoechlin’s Clark Kent/Superman, as well as the debut of Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane.
Thanks to Tyler Hoechlin’s Instagram the first official look at the characters is now available. It’s intriguing to see Lois Lane in what appears to be a white Kryptonian dress.
The first official look at LaMonica Garret’s The Monitor has also been revealed. The Monitor, or Mar Novu, is an extraterrestrial being of infinite power, created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez.
The costume for The Monitor is one of the best designs to come from The CW shows. It’s also comic accurate and has impressed the creators of the character.
After seeing the image of The Monitor Marv Wolfman tweeted out:
Of all the characters I’ve co-created over the years, I never, ever expected the Monitor would not only to make it to TV, but to be done so perfectly. Wow! I am brainboggled.
The Monitor costume certainly shows the creative team is going for movie quality for the crossover. Even the Batwoman one is looking ripped out of the Comic Books.
Elseworlds will see the cast of Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl come together to help Batwoman in Gotham City. It still isn’t clear which Earth she is from though.
The crossover will begin on Sunday 9th of December with The Flash and continues over the next two nights with Arrow and Supergirl respectively.
