Rumor Says that a TV Series Based on Ridley Scott’s ‘Alien’ is in the Works

Take the following news with a grain of salt. A rumor says that FX may be developing a television series based on Ridley Scott’s hallowed Alien franchise. The rumor says that multiple sources confirm a series is in the works. It may also be past the talking stage.

In the era of the remake and reboot, Ridley Scott’s Alien may make the jump to television with a rumored series on FX. The rumor comes courtesy of Omega Underground, who also claims that the following rumor should be taken with a huge grain of salt:

…take the following as a rumor.

Back in April, a reliable source revealed to us that a series set within the “Alien universe” was being considered behind the scenes. I was able to reaffirm the rumbling with another source located in another country that was able to support some of the basic info.

What they couldn’t connect on is where it could land be it FX or a streaming platform, Hulu and Netflix were ruled out at the time.

Whether the series hits on FX or on a streaming platform an Alien show could be a game-changer. Scott’s last two films in the franchise, Prometheus and Alien: Covenant did not fare well with critics.

Covenant was supposed to fix the issues Scott created with Prometheus. It only came with its own batch of problems.

Where could a potential television series go? The likely direction would be to follow a team of Space Marines as they fight the Alien Xenomorphs. The Marines are a fan-favorite storyline.

Does this mean that Scott could continue his mission to tear apart eh foundations of the Alien franchise as well? This is also a possibility, although hopefully, the networks are paying attention to the fan response.

What do you want the focus of the rumored Alien television series to be? Let us know in the comments below.
