Final Destination
You’re on a plane. Things go wrong. People around you die. You die. You wake up. Everything is okay. But you’re on the plane with the people in your dream. What do you do? Final Destination explores this question. It shows what happens when a group of people cheat death thanks to a premonition.
That’s when they find out the truth: nobody escapes death. It doesn’t matter what you do, or where you run, death is always waiting. Sadly, their original deaths are also less gruesome. Death doesn’t like to be mocked.
As each movie progresses, the deaths get worse. By worse, I don’t mean it’s awful. I mean it will force you to be scared of the mundane things. After watching Final Destination 3 you won’t want to go back to a tanning bed.
Meanwhile, Final Destination 5 will stop glasses wearers from trying laser eye surgery.
The deaths are inventive and at the middle of it is William Bludworth. As a coroner and mortician, Bludworth helps the characters figure out how to stop death from catching them. However, there are theories he is actually the Grim Reaper.
This is backed-up by who plays him. Tony Todd, a horror legend, is William Bludworth. Tony is known for portraying the titular character in The Candyman.
There is a sixth film supposed to be happening. Reports are conflicting as some say it’ll be a re-imagining of the franchise, while others believe it’ll be in the same world. However, there is an idea that it might focus on first responders to see how they deal with their upcoming demises.
