Six Horror Franchises to Watch This Halloween

Insidious

Insidious is another series from James Wan. It also stars Patrick Wilson who plays Ed Warren in The Conjuring. This time, James Wan and his Saw co-creator Leigh Whannell reunite. The series follows Psychic Elise Raynor (Lin Shaye) who comes to the aid of parents.

The first two movies are connected by the family. It’s Patrick Wilson’s character, Josh, who has a connection to the spirit realm. The mystery is him uncovering this and it’s something that’ll leave viewers disturbed.

Insidious: Chapter 3 and Insidious: The Last Key are different. Chapter 3 shows how Elise comes to work with Specs and Tucker. It also delves further into why she’s afraid of using her powers.

Insidious: The Last Key focuses on Elise more than the previous three. In this one, Elise’s childhood connects to one of the cases. Furthermore, it introduces a new entity in the form of Key Face.

Without spoiling it, Insidious: The Last Key has a good connection to the original movie. Through this, it feels like the series reaches its conclusion. However, there are rumblings another movie may come one day.
