‘Star Wars’ Characters Who Need to Come to Live-Action

Iden Versio

Unlike Doctor Aphra, Iden Versio’s creation didn’t come from books. She’s a character created for EA and Dice’s Star Wars: Battlefront II. Starting out as the Commander of Inferno Squad, an elite squadron for the Empire, Iden killed anyone who stood in their way.

However, not long after the defeat of Emperor Palpatine, she is imprisoned by the Rebel Alliance. When she realises the Empire’s plan is to destroy her home planet, Iden becomes part of the Rebel Alliance. She is joined by her comrade Del Meeko.

Iden is voiced by Janina Gavankar.

Considering Iden’s story takes place only moments after the destruction of the Empire, there is more of her to explore. The Mandalorian is set five years after Return of the Jedi so she can easily be introduced on there. Iden can easily be a one episode character Din Djarin needs to team-up with on a mission.

Even giving her a limited series on Disney+ would work. Thanks to the second Battlefront II campaign we’ve seen Iden face the First Order. There’s scope to show her helping the Resistance before the game’s story.

Furthermore, the series can follow Iden aiding Leia in the rise of the New Republic. There is little reason for Iden Versio not to appear in live-action, even just once.
