Netflix dropped the first full-length trailer for the upcoming third season of their hit series Stranger Things. A lot’s changed since we last visited Hawkins. Check out the trailer below:
The biggest change for season 3 is just how much all of the kids have grown up. The new season takes place in 1985. It is nice to see that Mike/Eleven and Max/Lucas are both still together.
The setting is also new, this time taking place during the 4th of July, conveniently the release date for the new season. The town has a new mall and a morally corrupt Mayor Kline. The tropes are not gone from the series, yet.
The first trailer is a quick overview of the main cast and brief glimpses at what is to come. There’s also a new monster headed to Hawkins in 1985, and it looks like it comes courtesy of Billy.
It appears that he actually turns into the monster, or could potentially have something that leads to this happening.
Stranger Things Season 3 airs on the 4th of July weekend this summer.
