Streaming: Everything Leaving Netflix in January 2017

A new year is upon us. The best thing about the end of the year isn’t the endless supply of turkey and dressing, or throwing up eggnog at grandmas house. It’s getting plenty of time to binge watch the Netflix shows and movies that you’ve neglected for months. Baby, it’s cold outside, so cuddle up by the fire and enjoy these great titles before they are gone from Netflix forever.

December will be the last month to catch some amazing movies and television shows. Some great movies leaving after this month are Dazed and Confused, Stardust, Saving Private Ryan, and Fast and the Furious. I love how Netflix bring some great films back for only a month or two at a time. This is what they did with the Audrey Hepburn classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s. If you have never watched this film, now is the time to see the refined Hepburn portray a young woman who parties and, well, I think there is a different subtext going on in this film in today’s context.

The Netflix title exile is not just limited to great films though, some fantastic television shows are departing the streaming service as well. Parents, Netflix is banishing Jake and the Neverland Pirates Seasons 1-3, along with the first season of Angry Birds. For those of you that don’t have the TNT channel, Netflix is kicking season 13 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit off for now. You can’t get enough of the 1990s? The first 6 seasons of Saved by the Bell will also be gone soon.

Now is your time to re watch or watch these great titles before they leave forever! Don’t forget to check out our great list of everything coming to Netflix in January 2017!
