Super Bowl LII Trailer and First Full Trailer for ‘Solo’ Drop Ahead of May 25 Release

Solo: A Star Wars Story, Lucasfilm

The first trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story is finally here! Last night during Super Bowl LII, fans were treated to the first official teaser trailer for Solo, the next standalone film set in the Star Wars universe. This is the first glimpses of the film that fans have gotten, despite the release date being just three months away. Disney and Lucasfilm also dropped a full length trailer from the film earlier today.

The full trailer sheds a lot more light on how the film will play out, and gives fans a lot more shots of Ehrenreich as Han Solo himself. Check out both trailers below:

And below you can see the official full length trailer below:

The film looks great

The feel of the movie is right, and it appears to be a bit of a heist movie as well. It just wouldn’t be a true Han Solo movie without a little bit of smuggling, now would it? Donald Glover as Lando looks great, and you can see how Disney and Lucasfilm are keeping a good grasp of the backwards compatible nostalgia. The trailer hits all of the necessary notes and even has Woody Harrelson using Solo’s trademark saying, ‘kid’.

The Millennium Falcon is brand new here, and besides sporting a new paint job, it also has a few modifications that apparently came with the ship when it was still new. You can bet that by the way that Han flies the ship in the trailer it will need a few repairs by the time the credits roll.

This trailer caught me off guard, as it is completely different from I was expecting. It will be nice to revisit the Star Wars universe so soon. The next few months will presumably see the release of a lot more material for the film. From what we know of the film, this is the only brief synopsis that can be pieced together about Solo:
