Sylvester Stallone hints that another one of his past roles will make a big comeback very soon. In a recent tweet, the Creed 2 star took the opportunity to leak that Creed isn’t the only franchise getting a sequel, but Rambo is as well.
There is no hiding the fact that Rambo 5 is coming soon.
This is the first word of a potential sequel, so this announcement is shocking. Who doesn’t love a good guy movie, full of flying bullets and a seemingly invincible man that an take on an entire army by himself?
Rambo is one of my favorite franchises from the 1980s and to see John Rambo grace the big screen again is a dream come true.

He then followed the tweet up with another tweet reaffirming the coming of the sequel:
So, dust off your replica M-60 and juice up, cause Rambo 5 is coming. The last film in the franchise, Rambo hit theaters in 2008, and made on a minimal budget, making more than double its original $50 million budget.
Most critics agree that this style of film is dead in today’s Holywood landscape, but id Rambo 5 does anywhere near where the last film did, then this genre is far from dead.
It will be hard to top the bloodiness of the last film in the franchise. There is only 1 synopsis for the film that exists, and it comes courtesy of Deadline earlier this year:
“When the daughter of one of his friends is kidnapped, Rambo, who has been working on a ranch, crosses the U.S.-Mexican border and quickly finds himself up against the full might of one of Mexico’s most violent criminals.”
