‘The Suicide Squad’ Trailer Released, Villain Revealed

The Suicide Squad is the next release from DC films. Directed and written by James Gunn, it stars Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Viola Davis and more. Since its announcement, fans have been excited to see the first look. At DC FanDome those wishes came true with a behind the scenes package.

Although, fans wanted more. They’ve been asking James Gunn on social media for the trailer for a while. Thankfully for him, he won’t need to be stuck with those messages anymore. The trailer has been released and it looks epic!

Take a look at it below:

Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn appears to be in danger. But Harley’s already taken care of the danger in her own way. It’s only the first of many jokes in the trailer. Wearing her red and black, it looks like James Gunn is giving us classic Harley Quinn.

Furthermore, we have confirmation who Sylvester Stallone is playing. As many speculated, he’s voicing King Shark. The character’s no stranger to live-action.

He guest features on The CW’s The Flash. He’s also a main character in the Harley Quinn animation series.

The antagonist of the movie has been a secret for a while. Before the trailer it seems like a General or the Thinker were the main threat. However, the closing seconds confirm it’s something else. An alien starfish by the name of Starro.

For those who don’t know, Starro is important in the DC mythos. He’s the reason the Justice League form in the comics. The very first villain for the greatest team in DC history.

It’s unclear who’ll voice him, if anyone, but Taika Waititi’s role has yet to be confirmed.
