‘Titans’ Reveals Official First Look at Red Hood

Titans is one of DC’s most controversial series. From the very first trailer, fans have been divided over its dark tone. The events of season two didn’t help with them killing off a fan-favorite in a ridiculous way.

Fortunately, that character will return but it’s unsure if it’ll be during season three. Rumors say their return comes at the end of the season or at the start of season four.

However, there’s another character who disappeared at the end of season two. Jason Todd (Curran Walters) leaves his allies behind due to being unhappy some of them lied. During DC FanDome it was confirmed Jason is returning in season three but it won’t be as Robin.

Jason Todd is taking up his comic book mantle as the Red Hood. The first look at Curran Walters as the Red Hood comes directly from the Titans Twitter.

Just like many of the costumes on Titans, this one is as close to comic accurate as it can be. Laura Jean Shannon is the mastermind behind the costume’s design. It looks incredible and you can check it out below:

Jason’s transformation in the show is another point of contention for fans. In the source material, Jason becomes the Red Hood after being murdered by the Joker. Ra’s Al Ghul then resurrects him and sets him on a path of vengeance.

His moniker comes from the Joker’s The Killing Joke origin of being part of the Red Hood gang. Unfortunately, it looks as if the show isn’t adapting Death in the Family.

If season two’s ending is to go by then it seems Jason becomes the Red Hood for no other reason than people lying to him. Hopefully, this is something season three decides to retcon.

Titans season 1 and 2 are available to stream on HBO Max from November 1.
