The third movie in the Planet of the Apes rebooted franchise is War for the Planet of the Apes, and we finally have an official trailer! The trailer is great, showcasing the motivations behind the human side of the war and the apes. We may have made the apes what they are, but no we have to pay for our transgressions. In this movie, the apes have taken over the world. Check out the official trailer below:
Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel (Woody Harrelson). After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both of their species and the future of the planet.
This incarnation will bring new faces to the franchise. Joining the film are Woddy Harrelson, Judy Greer, and Steve Zahn, with most of the previous film’s cast being replaced. Check out the official trailer below:
Humanity looks to be in great hands, with Harrelson all war-painted up! Does this mean that humanity is doomed to completely fall? If you believe this trailer, then that is surly the case. Things in this movie look bleak for humanity, as the trailer cites that humanity will pay for its sins.
There is no word whether this movie will be the end of Caesar’s journey. With his animalistic instincts kicking in, this movie will feature no signs of peace. Could Caesar be the catalyst to bring about the fall of the apes? We will just have to wait to see the film when it hits theaters.
