Rejoice! We are only six months away from the highly anticipated second season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. The show will hit the streaming service on Halloween later this year. The show will stay pretty much the same, but will shift the feel for Season 2.
May is here, which means we have almost exactly six months until Netflix releases the second season of Stranger Things on Halloween. And, according to the show’s stars, that second season is going to borrow heavily from the horror genre. The first Season had plenty of horror elements in it, but Season two looks to amp this up.
According to Finn Wolfhard (Mike) in an interview with Emmy Magazine:
“I think this season will be a lot [darker]. A lot more horror oriented, I think people are going to like it more than the first season.”
Wolford goes on to say that the obstacles the characters face this time around are more”disturbing”. Season Two will be more character focused, giving audiences more insight about the entire cast, not just a few of them. Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) goes on to say that Season Two will give us more insight into the entire gang:
“The great thing about this season is you get to see insights into each character on their own,You’re going to see a lot more into the lives of how the characters are coping with what’s been going on…. They’re all very emotionally scarred. They feel alone because their best friend is back and he’s not acting like their best friend anymore. He’s changed.”
It seems as though the events from Season One has affected everyone, and the fallout will be interesting to see. You can check out more footage of the kids talking about Season Two below.
