Better Look at Classic Costume Cameo in Netflix’s ‘Iron Fist’

Iron Fist, Netflix

We never got to see Finn Jones wear the classic hero costume in Netflix’s Iron Fist, but there was a brief scene were Danny Rand was shown old footage of another Iron Fist. In the clip, you see the Iron Fist fight a group of Chinese soldiers, trying to enter the path to K’un-Lun. The soldiers were easily dispatched by the guardian, and it was the closest thing we got to see of the original costume from the comics. The costume looks great, but you can bet that Danny Rand’s suit will eventually look different.

The actor/martial artist who played the older guardian (Johnny Yang) shared an image on Instagram that shows us a better look at the costume, that was originally shown in black-and-white. Check out the costume below:

It really is a great show, although it does start out a bit slow. Finn Jones was right to defend his casting as Danny Rand, and the social commentary of the show is great. Netflix has another hit, in the walkup to their team-up show The Defenders. Marvel’s Jeph Loeb said that show runner Scott Buck had a unique vision for the show that they couldn’t pass up:

“Scott came in with a take on Iron Fist that quite simply knocked us off our feet. We always look for the most creative minds in the field to help us bring our heroes to life, and with Scott we’ve found someone that can deliver yet another great series in the ongoing story of The Defenders.”

You can check out Iron Fist season one on Netflix Instant, ready to stream.

Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
