Chris Evans States that ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Will Wrap Everything Up

Marvel Studios is known for locking its actors into long contracts. This ensures that the actors portraying the characters will be available for the role for any number of future sequels. Marvel has a plan, whether it is public knowledge or not. The studio is known for orchestrating the intricacies of this story arc from behind a shrouded veil. Chris Evans is one of these actors, who portrays Captain America on the big screen.

Most of the actors signed contracts that took them through the events of Avengers: Infinity War. That was before the original plans for Infinity War were changed, consequently turning the film into a two-part series. This meant that many contracts had to be re-negotiated to accommodate the change in plans.

Evans recently told The Telegraph why he decided to do a seventh film for Marvel Studios, and what it could mean for Captain America:

“I had six films in my Marvel contract, so I could have said after the third Avengers I was done, but they wanted to make the third and fourth Avengers films as a two-parter. They said they had so many other characters to fit in – Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Ant Man – and couldn’t get them all into one movie. [I agreed] because it made sense. It’s going to wrap everything up.”

How much will the events of Avengers: Infinity War alter the MCU? It appears that things will be very different moving forward. Does this mean that all of the deaths we expected to see during the events of Captain America: Civil War could still happen? It is quite possible. At the present time, there is no word who could die during the two-part Avengers film.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
