Blackhawk Squadron

The Blackhawk Squadron is a small team of World War II-era pilots. They’re made up of varied nationalities and are only known by a single name. Over the years their membership has changed but one thing that never changes is the number of core members. That number is seven.

The Blackhawks are led by a man who calls himself Blackhawk. It’s him who the Squadron is named after. Blackhawk Island is their base of operation but it remains hidden from the world. One memorable version of the Blackhawks is in Justice League the Animated Series.

In addition to the known Blackhawks, there’s also Lady Blackhawk. Zinda Blake is the first person to take the moniker. She fights to be the first woman in the Blackhawks and manages it by saving the leader of the Squadron.

Blackhawk is a group of soldiers so it only makes sense to base their game on others about soldiers. That’s why I think a closed world first-person-shooter with a single storyline with no side quests is a good idea.

The vision is that Blackhawk will be similar to the Call of Duty franchise and Battlefield.

The storyline will center around two characters: Blackhawk and Lady Blackhawk. Its inspiration comes from the Zinda Blake origin. It’ll see Zinda wanting to become a Blackhawk but because she’s a woman she is shot down.

The story switches between the two characters as Blackhawk and his team track down an enemy with the codename Red Dragon. When one of their own turns against them, the Blackhawks are in dire need.

Luckily for them, Zinda Blake has been following their trail and comes to their rescue. When she joins the Blackhawks, their mission is to defeat Red Dragon and her cabal of Nazi soldiers aiming to help Adolf Hitler win World War II.

This is why Blackhawk and Zinda are both playable. It’ll show both sides of the story and let the player control the two main characters.

Just like Call of Duty¸ Blackhawk will have an online mode. It’ll feature various modes such as Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, and dog fights using Planes.

In order to make it even more fun, players can get the chance to unlock exclusive skins of top tier DC heroes after gaining a certain amount of points.

Think about how Star Wars: Battlefront II lets the player bring in a Hero or Villain during certain online modes after gaining points.

However, unlike Star Wars: Battlefront II, Blackhawk won’t have a paywall at all. The characters will be unlocked for online from the get-go. Although, if players want a more challenging experience there can be premium skins that have to be unlocked through achievements in offline story mode or online.

For example: if a player kills 100 people in an online mode then they unlock a character or skin based off of DC’s Bombshells.

Blackhawk might not be well known to the general audience, but this is a great way to raise their profile. Furthermore, if the once confirmed Steven Spielberg Blackhawk movie is still in production it’s a great idea to release a game around the same time.
