Aquaman (2018)
Following the events of Justice League, Arthur Curry, the reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, is caught in a battle between surface dwellers that threaten his oceans and his own people, who are ready to lash out and invade the surface.
With a release date of December 2018, Aquaman is gaining positive traction from fans.
Aquaman is the laughing-stock of the DC Universe because of his appearance in comics and the Super Friends cartoon. This all changes with the new look courtesy of Game of Thrones alum Jason Momoa. This will be Momoa’s third time in the role. He has shown he is more than capable of turning Aquaman into something more while keeping comedy in the film.
With James Wan at the helm, there is little reason for the movie to go wrong. His impressive back catalog with Warner Brothers and a pedigree of hit franchises such as Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring speaks for itself.
Wan also proves he is able to come into a franchise and help it reach new heights. He did this with Fast and Furious 7, essentially taking over a $1 Billion stagnant franchise.
Fan reaction toward Aquaman has also been positive thanks to Wan’s love and enthusiasm for the character. That is not to mention the comic accurate Black Manta coming to screen and Jason Momoa wearing the ORANGE AND GREEN comic costume.

With a cast made up of Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Dolph Lundgren and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, there is no reason to be worried about this particular entry.
