The Goes Wrong Show
The first on our list is a British show. Created by Mischief, The Goes Wrong Show is a series of vignettes where, you guessed it, everything goes wrong. The troupe started many years ago with The Play That Goes Wrong and have played in London’s West End and Broadway.
Prior to The Goes Wrong Show they did two specials for the BBC. Peter Pan Goes Wrong and A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong are comedy at its finest. The Goes Wrong Show tries its hat at different genres. That is where the festive connection comes in.
The first episode of the series, The Spirit of Christmas, originally aired 23rd December 2019. Its story is straightforward as a girl is worried about her parents as they argue. Who steps in to save the day? A Santa Claus who enjoys a nip, and another, and another.
Throw in an elf stuck in the chimney, another trying to act as a duo alone and a snowman with edible buttons, you’re guaranteed to be in for a treat. If your festive spirit is low then The Spirit of Christmas will soon fix that.
