‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ Trailer is One Big Riot!

We were all ‘hooked on a feeling’ when the first Guardians of the Galaxy hit theaters, and James Gunn’s sequel looks to do more of the same. This trailer has everything a fan of the first film could want: action, comedy, Baby Groot, with a hint of romance. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is going to be another epic film for Marvel. It has everything that the first film had and more. We can talk more about it after you see this spectacular trailer!

The character interactions are my favorite part of this trailer. There are subtle nuances that just ring out, and you can definitely tell that this film takes place almost immediately after the events of the first film. In the trailer, the only new character that we get a glimpse of is Mantis (Pom Klementieff), and her scene is the funniest part of the trailer. I laugh just thinking about Drax’s reaction to what Mantis tell Star-Lord.

The big focal point of this trailer is to show us the Abilisk that the Guardians will face-off against in the film. The Abilisk was featured in concept art that James Gunn released earlier in the year from the film.  I am willing to bet that this battle takes place early in the film. It is a good place to show how the team works together after the events of the first film. You can see glimpses of this cut throughout the trailer. What brings the Guardians together in an arena-styled battle against a multi-dimensional beast such as the Abilisk?

There are many characters left out of the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. We don’t see any clips of Nebula (Karen Gillan), Ego the Living Planet (Kurt Russell), or any shot of Yondu (Michael Rooker) in any of this trailer. I am sure that we will eventually get more of him.

Did you like the first full trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2?
