Halloween: Five Horror TV series to Watch

Stranger Things

I’d be surprised if there was a person who didn’t know what Stranger Things was. After the recent season, everyone was talking about Eddie Munson, wanting Chrissy to wake up and questioning if Vecna was actually… attractive? This horror TV series originally aired in 2016 and was created by The Duffer Brothers. It stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Joe Keery, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin (along with many other talented people).

These were the original actors but more have joined the series over the years. Sadie Sink, Sean Astin, Jamie Campbell Bower, Joseph Quinn, Dacre Montgomery and Grace Van Dien have played roles in the series. For some of them, they have become part of the fabric (Sadie). Meanwhile, others play a character who may not be around for long but remain with the audience once they’re gone (Grace).

Stranger Things follows a group of kids who live in Hawkins, Indiana, and their fight against another realm known as the Upside Down. The names of the monsters come from the popular RPG Dungeons & Dragons. The recent season is the most horror of them all. It takes inspiration from A Nightmare on Elm Street, among other beloved horror stories.

If you enjoy a compelling story with great acting, fun moments and an 80s setting, Stranger Things is definitely for you.
