Holland: No Extra Spideys in Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man 3’

Actor Tom Holland says that there will not be any additional past Spidey’s showing up in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. His comments come after months of rumors that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will return for the third Web-Slinger movie.

Spider-Man 3‘s currently in production. In a recent profile for Esquire, Holland discusses his new film Cherry and commented on the Maguire/Garfield cameo rumors:

“No, no, they will not be appearing in this film. Unless they have hidden the most massive piece of information from me, which I think is too big of a secret for them to keep from me. But as of yet, no.

It’ll be a continuation of the Spider-Man movies that we’ve been making.”

The piece goes on to note that Holland is no stranger to deception from Marvel. He has a reputation of letting spoilers slip out during press rounds. The Russo Brothers even went as far as to feed Holland false scripts, to keep him off the path of the actual plot.

Spider-Man 3 hits theaters on December 17.
