Jeremy Jordan Returning to ‘Supergirl’

At the end of season 3 of Supergirl, Jeremy Jordan’s Winn Schott left with the Legion of Super-Heroes and traveled to the future. Since then, the DEO’s resident smart guy is Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath). The two formed a close bond before Winn took Brainy’s place to eradicate the A.I blight in the future.

Earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con, the showrunners announced Jeremy Jordan is finally returning to the role. That is all we know about his return and nothing else was mentioned.

However, that’s no longer the case as Jeremy Jordan’s confirmed on his Twitter he is back on set. That’s right, we now know Winslow Schott Jr is coming back to the present. It’s unclear what his role will be and for how long he is back.

We do know that his first episode is 5×011, which is also under the Direction of David Harewood (J’onn J’onnz). This is his second performance behind the camera, after his debut last season with the episode American Dreamer.

It’s unclear if Winn returning to the present will bring any of the other Legion members with him. We also don’t know how his arc will end this season and if he’ll go back to the future or remain in the present.

With Jeremy Jordan wanting to focus more on his theatre work, it seems Winn will only be a short time return. If he does stay in the present then he’ll probably move on from life at the DEO and Supergirl.

Recently, the original cast of Supergirl decreased when Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) left town. This is because Mehcad wants to spread his wings and seek other opportunities. He’s currently filming for the upcoming Mortal Kombat movie, playing Jackson ‘Jax’ Briggs.

Supergirl Season 5 continues tonight on the CW.
