Every Device Losing Netflix Support on December 1

Netflix

A number of current Netflix users lose the ability to watch Netflix on their devices beginning December 1. This means that a number of subscribers will have to find another way to binge their favorite movies and television shows.

Netflix is saying “technical limitations” are the reason for the loss of support, but will not list what the actual problem is. A rumor says that the main function erroring on the devices is the ability to auto-play episodes.

Other than what is cited above, Netflix is quiet about what is happening. There isn’t much transparency about the topic and the streaming giant beating around the bush about exactly what devices lose support on Dec 1. Netflix has yet to release an official list, but lists are found on Roku and Samsung sites.

The list below is only a preliminary list and isn’t final. These are only some of the devices losing support:

Stranger Things, Netflix

Roku devices

  • Roku 2000C
  • Roku 2050X
  • Roku 2100X
  • Roku HD
  • Roku SD
  • Roku XD
  • Roku XR
  • Any Roku devices unable to auto-play the next episode
Netflix

Samsung TVs

**Note that the loss of support only applies to the TVs themselves; You can still watch the streaming service on older Samsung TVs as long as you do so through a device that the service currently supports.

Stay tuned, more devices could make the list in the next few weeks. You can refer to Netflix’s official list of supported devices for every device that the streaming service supports.
