Terrifier is an independent movie released in 2016 and is Directed by Damien Leone. The movie sees a killer clown known only as Art going on a killing spree.
It’s racked with potential yet it fails to meet what it could be. There’s a lack throughline of who the protagonist is and it isn’t until the final 40 minutes, or even less, it’s more clear.

However, I’ll can’t fault David Howard Thornton for his portrayal of Art the Clown. Through his silence and expressions, he creates a sinister character. I’ll admit, I was creeped out by Art in a way I never have been with any other Clown.
With a better script Art the Clown can become a new Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers.
I’ll be honest and say I don’t have much to say about it other than that. There’s a lot of gore and over-the-top slashing and hacking. If that’s your kind of thing, you’ll like it, but it’s not for me.
