Yes, Paramount Just Trolled Every ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ Critic

The first teaser trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog hit the internet last week, and the semi-hidden appearance of Sonic had everyone talking. The biggest point of contention was the Hedgehog’s uber-muscular legs.

Most cite that the famous Hedgehog resembles an Olympic runner on steroids. This ignitied the internet ablaze with humorous memes and jabs thrown at the shadowed peek at the character.

Paramount Pictures took the opportunity to troll critics of the teaser, rather than scramble trying to make the critical world happy. The studio released a follow-up image of the speedster with legs even more swollen than they appeared in the teaser trailer.

This is a great thing for the film because any press is good. There is still plenty of time for Paramount to get the vision right.

Small-town sheriff Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) journeys to San Francisco to assist Sonic (Ben Schwartz), a super-fast anthropomorphic blue hedgehog, in his battle against the evil Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey).
