DC Comic Storylines the DCEU Should Adapt

Green Lantern Corps: Sinestro Corps War

Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War introduces Sinestro as a villain, as well as the emergence of other Corps. It features a climactic battle on Earth between the Green Lantern Corps and the Sinestro Corps.

While the Green Lanterns use willpower to fight, the Sinestro Corps use fear.

It’s a storyline that nearly came to fruition on the big screen. At the end of the Green Lantern movie, Sinestro finds the yellow ring and becomes the evil Sinestro. However, the movie didn’t perform well with critics or the audience.

Using the Sinestro Corps not only brings one of the best Green Lantern runs to the screen. It also gives the characters the justice they deserve on the big screen.

While the source material uses certain Earth Green Lanterns, this version can easily bring in the more recent additions. Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz offer more depth in storytelling due to their backgrounds.

It’d also make it more interesting if Hal Jordan and John Stewart are training up the new Lanterns when Sinestro emerges.

Through the first half of the movie, Sinestro could be a legend. A being who once served as a Green Lantern but he turned against his kind and is put down by Hal Jordan.

When he returns, it becomes personal for Hal and John while Jessica and Simon learn what being a Green Lantern is truly about.

The final battle could be better outside of Earth. Nearly every Superhero movie takes place on Earth. Even Captain Marvel‘s final battle happens mostly on Earth. The final battle taking place through the universe also ups the stakes.
